It was love at first hagfish. Sara and Chris met through work as Game Wardens in California. Chris saw a photo of Sara kissing a hagfish and knew he had to meet her.
According to Sara, the night they met the two of them talked all evening long and after 10 months of dating, Chris proposed.
They both have a wonderful sense of humor and decided on a destination wedding in Alaska that included a dressy, casual and rustic theme.
They invited 50 friends and family to join them in Talkeetna for the wedding festivities. The Groomsmen danced down the aisle to "Hooked on a Feeling" while the ladies boogied to "You're the One That I Want", from Grease.
The couple wrote their own vows and claimed they didn't want anything too mushy or something that would make them cry. They were not too mushy but there were definitely tears as the couple spoke of how they promised to care for one another from this day forward.

MEET REBECCA
Hey there! I am Rebecca, I was born and raised in Alaska. I have always been a party planner at heart, even from childhood. In 2012, after some soul searching I realized my life long dream by founding La Boum Events. For me it is the perfect balance of my desire to be a working artist and my get-shit-done approach to life. I have a quick brain, I am great with details, I love a challenge and approach problem solving with a flexible attitude... it was a perfect fit.
I specialize in one-of-a-kind weddings, inspired by the love stories and adventures of our incredible couples. Personally, I love working with joyful, adventurous, fun-seeking couples who want to create an incredible Alaskan experience for their big celebration.
When I am not working, I love to slow down and enjoy the simple Alaska life with my husband and kids. I am savoring the slow process of renovating an old farm house, running an urban homestead, and making wine.
